Our choice of clothing can portray our personality and mood in the same way as the colour of our nails!
On the high street, the choice of nail varnish is immense and colours available in stores are largely influenced by the colours appearing on the catwalks. However, the nail varnish and the colour that we take to the check out and purchase can say a thousand words. For example, according to Cosmopolitan, neon's seem to suggest a very outgoing and spontaneous individual compared to pastel's which simply imply you're a romantic. Obviously we all have a personal preference, many of us are simply drawn towards our favourite colours.
From acrylics, gels and nail wraps, there are a huge range of nail treatments available to achieve the customer's desired effect aside from buying nail varnish off the high street. Many of us love the look of stronger, more symmetric and stronger nails. However, they can be costly for both our bank balances and for our natural nails. What would I offer as an alternative?
Rimmel London's Super Gel nail varnish range offers 25 shades claiming '14 days of gel colour and shine'. I would recommend allowing your nails 30 minutes to dry to create the perfect finish. There are two simple steps:
1. 2 coats of your chosen gel colour needs to be applied
2. Cover with 1 coat of the Super Gel clear top coat
So, if you're looking for an alternative from your current nail varnish or your acrylics, this product definitely provides a very professional finish, great shine and is very easy to remove! The price, finish and colours available in this product make it particularly attractive.
However, this nail varnish definitely isn't chip proof and unfortunately won't last the full 14 days. In addition, like all nail varnish, there comes a point when your favourite colour has to be binned.
I do believe this is the next best thing to the original nail varnish which has been on our high street shelves for many years!
Aside from this range from Rimmel London, Sally Hansen also has their own range called Miracle Gel which I'm keen to try. In addition, I would certainly recommend Sally Hansen's Nailgrowth Miracle for the growth of stronger and longer nails. It's certainly useful if you've booked for Shellac!
